Samuel V. Brittingham

GEORGETOWN - Samuel "Sam" V. Brittingham passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, 2018. He was born on Oct. 13, 1954 son of the late Dalton Brittingham and Beatrice (Willey) Brittingham.
Mr. Brittingham worked as a mechanic for many years until he became an instructor for Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown. He was a singer for the Dalton Gang band and was on the pool league for APA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brittingham was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeanette M. Brittingham in 2015; her brothers, Robert and Dalton Vance Brittingham; and a grandson, Lace Allen. He is survived by his son, Dustin V. Brittingham of Georgetown; his daughter, Samantha Brittingham of Laurel; his grandchildren, Brooke and Carson Brittingham and Laney and Lettimae Riggleman; and his siblings, Clifton Brittingham of Ocean City, Md., Donna and Mike Green of Georgetown, Christine Brittingham of Felton, Gloria and Ken Webster of Baltimore, Md. and Holly Lynn and Russell James Derrickson of Georgetown.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow the Services at Dagsboro Redmen Memorial Cemetery, Iron Branch Road, Dagsboro.
