HURLOCK, Md. - Sallie Wright English of Hurlock passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2006, in Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge. She was 53.
Mrs. English was born June 9, 1953, daughter of Francis Elder Wright and Mary Caroline Bradley.
She graduated from Colonel Richardson High School with the class of 1971. She continued her education at Union Memorial Hospital where she received her R.N. diploma.
Mrs. English was a licensed real estate agent for Powell Real Estate in Cambridge. She previously served as a registered nurse at the School for the Deaf and Blind School in St. Augustine, Fla.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Francis Elder and Barbara Wright of Reliance; her mother, Mary Caroline Bradley of Wanchese, N.C.; her husband, Cassen S. English of Palm Coast, Fla.; two daughters, Chelsea R. English, who is attending Penn State at State College, Pa., and Jade V. English of Hurlock; a brother and a sister-in-law, Edward F. and Beverly Wright of Reliance; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary Lu and Russell Williamson of Federalsburg and Jane R. and Don White of Seaford; three half-brothers, Omar Bradley and his wife, Kim, of North Carolina, Bruce Bradley and his wife, Rachel, of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., and Paul Bradley and his wife, Wendy, of Millsboro, Del.; a special friend, Philip Hastings of Hurlock; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg. The Rev. David Heistand will officiate.
