CINCINNATI, Ohio - Sunrise: December 30, 1950 • Sunset, December 20, 2013. At her request, no service will be held. Sadie Elaine Alford departed this life in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sadie was born in Lewes, Delaware, and was baptized as a child in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Apostolic Faith. She attended William C. Jason Comprehensive High School and Delaware State College. Sadie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Delilian and Walter Alford; a sister, Corinne Alford; and sister-in-law, Sally Alford. Sadie leaves to cherish her memories her beloved children, son, Leon Antonio (Jones) Holman, of Philadelphia, Pa.; and daughter, Cherie DaLynn Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla., and their respective spouses. She also leaves three grandchildren, Osaze and Zola Holman, and Harper Jackson; as well as twelve brothers and sisters, Edna Piper, Walter Alford, Samuel Alford, Mavis Alford, Lauretta Cooper (Jerome), Sherrena Alford Williams, Lorenzo Alford (Joann), Regina Alford, Tyrone Alford, Roy Alford, Paul Alford, and Paulette Alford. She also leaves to treasure her memories a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A private burial will be held by Pippin Funeral Home. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone for all of their prayers, cards and donations.
