Ruth M. Wright, 89

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Ruth M. Wright, of Chapel Hill, and formerly of Clayton, Del., died on Sept. 28, 2009. She was 89. Mrs. Wright was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Clayton, the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith Mills. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and small business owner. She was a lifelong member of Ewell's-St. Paul United Methodist Church, Clayton, and a devoted member of its Morning Circle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, William E. Wright; two sisters, Mildred Ennis, and Virginia Broadwater; and two brothers, David Mills, and Edgar Mills. She is survived by her son and daughter-in- law, Glenn and Linda Wright with whom she lived in Chapel Hill; two nieces and two nephews. Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 2, at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ewell's-St Paul United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 266, Clayton, DE 19938. To send a letter of condolence, visit www.delmarvaobits.com.
