Ruth Holleger

MILFORD - Ruth Holleger passed away on Wed., Dec. 19, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Ruth was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of the late George and Mary (Merta) Wolfinger. Ruth was a sales clerk at Woolworths and a cashier for Medd's Market for 12 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Holleger; six sisters; and one brother. She is survived by her children, Albert J. Sleva, Jr and wife Lori, Darlene M. Freeman, and Gail R. Angelucci and husband Scott; seven step-children, James W. Holleger, Marybeth Webb and husband Dennis, Valerie Smith, Carol Taylor and husband Bob, April Yeager and husband Buddy, Gerald Holleger and wife Marybeth and Patricia Watkins and husband David; grandchildren, Joseph Sleva, Thomas Sleva, April Wynn and husband John, Staci Dutton and husband Eric, Daniel L. Anderson II and wife Lauren, Lauren Anderson and Brandon Anderson; 17 step grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and 23 step great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE, where friends may call at noon. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
