CAMDEN - Ronald E. Muncey of Camden died Friday, July 27, 2007, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Elsmere. He was 57.
Mr. Muncey was born Sept. 24, 1949, in Hartford, Conn.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was honorably discharged from service in 1969.
Mr. Muncey worked for L&S Auto Sales, Camden, for several years, and was an all-around general maintenance man until his illness.
There are no known survivors.
Chapel services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, with burial to follow.
Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director Inc., Dover.
Irene Whaley
Sammons, 82
SEAFORD - Irene Whaley Sammons, of Seaford, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was welcomed home to the Lord on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, in Seaford. She was 82.
Irene was a homemaker and member of Concord United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Willard P. Sammons, died in 2004.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kelvin and Beverly Sammons and Randy and Ann Sammons, all of Seaford; five grandchildren, John Sammons and his wife Vanessa, Kristine Taronzi, Wendy Sammons, Garret Sammons and his wife Christy, and Alison Sammons; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, McCrady Whaley Jr. of Seaford, and Ronnie Whaley of Laurel; and a sister, Hazel Brumley of Laurel.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford, where friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Blades Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Concord United Methodist Church, c/o Marvin Lloyd, 12560 Concord Road, Seaford, DE.
