GREENSBORO - Roland "Lee" Bennett, 69, of Greensboro, died on Monday, Dec. 05, 2011 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1942 in Broadneck, Kent County, Md. to the late Roland Lee Simpers Bennett and Ethel Sewell Bennett. He was a 1960 graduate of Chestertown High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a truck driver for the Local Union #326 of Newark, Del. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Tuel Bennett; two sons, Roland Lee Simpers Bennett II of Queenstown and John Herbert Cohey of Minnesota; two daughters, Lori Lee Bennett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Bonnie Bennett of Chestertown; four brothers, Wayne Bennett, Barry Bennett, Danny Bennett and Kerry Bennett all of Kent County, Md.; one granddaughter, Chelsea Lynn Clough of Magnolia, Del.; five grandsons, Roland Lee Simpers Bennett III of Alaska, Levi Skinner of Kent County, Md., Dillon Lee Cohey of Tenn., Robert Guarino and Anthony Guarino both of Florida; and a special little girl Lillian C. Stubbs. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at Mr. Bennett's residence in Whiteleysburg, Md.
