Roger Lewis Mason

HARTLY - Roger Lewis Mason peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Mr. Mason was born on May 27, 1937 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the son of the late William McKinley Mason and Rebecca (Householder) Mason.
He served his country with honor for many years in the United States Air Force. He was a supervisor for food services while in the Air Force, retiring after over 20 years.
Roger then retired from the Caesar Rodney School District after 20 years of service as a groundskeeper and custodian.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking for his family. Every Sunday, Roger enjoyed preparing a full meal for after church service for his family.
He is survived by his sweetheart of 62 years, his wife Frances Mason; his five children, Eddie, Judy, Billy, Timmy, and Brian; 21 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren with 3 additional on the way. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Cindy Stotler.
A visitation will be held at 6p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Faith Baptist Church, located at 1575 Bryn Zion Road in Smyrna, Del.
Memorial services will begin at 7 p.m.
Burial with military honors will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the
Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
