Robert W. Ellsworth

Robert W. Ellsworth, 56

GEORGETOWN - Robert W. Ellsworth of Georgetown passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Md. He was 56.

He was born in Wilmington, son of the late William W. and Mildred (McCarter) Ellsworth.

Mr. Ellsworth was a landfill operations supervisor for the Delaware Solid Waste Authority.

Previous to that he worked for George & Lynch Construction Co. and Lee Kersey Homes.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellsworth was preceded in death by his brother, William W. Ellsworth II.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Carney and Lyndsey Ellsworth; a brother, Joseph L. Ellsworth; two sisters, Kathy McCarty and Joanne Giles; two grandchildren, Jacob Carney and Joseph Carney; his girlfriend, Diane Huber; and his canine companions, Mollie and Roxie.

A memorial service will 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Robert"s memory to the American Heart Association, Sussex Chapter, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
