Robert 'Bobby' V. Harvey, 54

LITTLE CREEK - Robert "Bobby" V. Harvey, of Little Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 54.

He was born on Jan. 9, 1954, in Bowers Beach, to the late Herbert and Irene Hall Harvey of Felton.

Bobby was a merchant marine over 20 years.

He also worked with Salisbury Towing for a number of years.

Bobby loved to spend time in his garden with his loving wife.

He also loved to go to the NASCAR races to watch his idol, No. 48, Jimmie Johnson.

Bobby also liked to camp and play the guitar for his dog, Suzy-Q.

He was a known collector of lighthouses.

The best times were sitting out back by the fire with his wife.

Bobby was a simple man who lived a simple life.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Joey; and sister, Mary Ankenman.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 10 years, Joyce Ann Harvey of Little Creek; daughter and her husband, Anita and Kevin Taylor of Magnolia; son and his wife, Scott and Shelley Harvey of Dover; stepson and his wife, Jason and Darla Courtney of Dover; stepson, Brian Courtney of Little Creek; mother, Irene Hall Harvey of Dover; brother, Herbie Harvey of Camden; brother and his wife, Jake and Joyce Harvey of Petersburg, Pa.; brother, Mark Harvey and Sherry Hollinger of Woodside; brother, Charlie Harvey and Dana Toubidox of North Bowers; sister, Irene Peterson of Felton; sister, Alice Goulet of Felton; sister, Darlene Harvey of Milford; grandchildren, Halie and Zoie Taylor; step-grandchildren, Anthony, Stephany, Jada, Lacy, Josh and Travis; father and mother-in-law, Ray and Pink Clark of Little Creek; brother-in-law and his wife, Dennis and Gail Clark of Dover; nephew, Robert Clark of Dover; and many more nieces and nephews and extended family.

Remembrance services will be noon Saturday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE 19901, to help with funeral costs.
