MILFORD - Robert N. Mendenhall, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center. Robert was born in Pick-A-Way, Ohio, son of the late Shirley Elijia and Vina (Burns) Mendenhall. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Ellen Mae Mendenhall; two sisters, Wilma Fodder and Betty Spadey; and brother, Bud Burns. Robert was a truck driver, for several different trucking companies, for over 50 years. He was still licensed with his CDL at the time of his death. He was an Army veteran. He is survived by a son, Ed Mendenhall, Cortland, Ohio; daughter, Roberta Lea Consla, Espyville, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Jimmy Burns, of Georgetown; step-son, Richard "Dick" Schafer and wife Connie, of Georgetown and step-daughter: Mary Jo Foust, also of Espyville, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at 1 p.m in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown with visitation after 12 p.m. Burial will be in McColley's Cemetery.
