Freitag, 79 BRIDGEVILLE - Robert "Bob" J. Freitag passed away peacefully in his home on Sept. 19, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was formerly of Philadelphia, Pa. He had served in the United States Army, and then spent 34 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Willow Grove, Pa. After retirement he moved to Bridgeville. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Freitag, of Bridgeville. He is survived by his four children, Glenn A. Freitag and his wife, Wendy, and their children, Britney, Taylor, Ryan, and Madison; Mark D. Freitag and his wife, Maria, and their son, Zachary; Frank D. Strassacker and his wife, Patricia, and their children, Frank R., William, and Anita; Jo Anne Peters and sons, Gregory and Scott. Bob had a sweet, kind, and loving nature that touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert Freitag's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements are in the care of the Hannigan, Short, Disharoon Funeral Home in Laurel.
