Dec 24, 1947-Dec 23, 2015 MILFORD - Bob Connelly died peacefully December 23, 2015, one day before his 68th birthday after a 2-year battle with cancer. He was a gifted Photographer, Arts advocate, Vice President of the Board of Second Street Players, driving force behind the Movies at Riverfront Theater, appointed to the Delaware Arts Council, and a tireless volunteer in Milford, Del. A Vietnam veteran, he was a professional firefighter for 25 years, taught high school Photography and touched the lives of many. He earned a BA in Photography from Arizona State University and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for Teachers. His goal was to live a simple life, focused more on experiences than materials things and he lived life to the fullest, enjoying each day. His latest cause was to bring attention to the Death with Dignity bill that he felt could help so many. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Rosemary; son, Christopher; daughter, Jessica; and granddaughter, Kyla. He was much loved and will be missed by many. A party was held recently in his honor to celebrate his life. No further service will be held. Donations in his name can be made to Second Street Players Lobby Expansion Project. Write Checks to Second Street Players, c/o Dan Marabello, Treasurer, 2 S. Walnut St., Milford, Delaware 19963. Visit their website at http://www.secondstreetplayers.com. More about Bob, his life and work can be found at http://www.livecheapmakeart.com. Arrangements handled by Berry Short Funeral Home, Milford.
