MILFORD - Robert Glenn Runyon of Milford died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 56.
Mr. Runyon was born May 7, 1950, in Williamson, W.Va., son of the late Clyde and Ruth (Meador) Runyon.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Mr. Runyon worked for Wal-Mart, Dover in the sporting goods department until his health forced him to retire.
He was an avid reader and history buff.
Mr. Runyon will be remembered as a loving and caring person who would extend his help to anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only son, James Ernest Runyon.
He is survived by two brothers, Joseph Runyon and Charles Ronald Runyon; three sisters, Joyce Wolfram, Donna Runyon and Diana Copsaulis, all of West Virginia; two nephews, Robert Eric Gardner of Dover and Wayne "Smokey" Gardner of West Virginia; a niece, Donna J. Garner of West Virginia; extended family and devoted friends, Denise and George Queen of Dover.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Burial will be private.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Home of the Brave, 6632 Sharps Road, Milford, DE 19963.
