Mr. Fleischer was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Baltimore, son of the late Joseph Fleischer, who had lived in New York and Irene (Hamrick) Fleischer, who had lived in Baldwin, Md.
He graduated from the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, and also attended the University of Miami.
Mr. Fleischer served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Independence aircraft carrier for two years as a reconnaissance photographer.

For more than 31 years, he worked with WMAR-TV in Baltimore as a news photographer and as an on-air cameraman in the studio. He also was a commercial aerial photographer for many years.
