GREENWOOD - Robert D. Lankford, of Greenwood went from this world to a better world on August 31, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77. Born on November 9, 1937, he was the son of Fred and Helen (Mumford) Lankford. He had a passion for going fishing, he also enjoyed hunting, tent camping, doing leatherwork, and cooking at the Greenwood BBQ. Robert loved the simple things in life, he worked hard and played hard. Robert was a member Grace Baptist Church in Seaford. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette, in March 2015. Survived by his children, Donny Lankford (Joan), Tom Lankford (Kim), Glen Lankford (Joe Buccio), Martin Adams (Juanita), Janet Stoeckel (Stokes), Lottie Drummond (Paul), Debbie Hall (Allen); nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; grand dogs, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 4 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, 805 Atlanta Road, Seaford, DE 19973. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Interment will be private. In his memory donations may be made to your favorite charity.
