RIDGELY, Md. - Robert Allen Simpson passed away to his final resting place on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Easton Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 18, 1959 in Easton to Alvin "Buddy" E. Simpson, Jr. and Eloise E. Simpson of Greensboro. He was a 1977 graduate of North Caroline High School. He continued his education graduating from Salisbury University and the MacQueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing. Robert was an emergency room nurse for the Queen Anne Emergency Center. He was a dedicated member of the local emergency management system and nursing communities. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hayman Simpson; two sons, Allen Simpson of Greensboro and Scott Simpson of Ridgely; brother, Thomas L. Simpson of Ridgely; sister, Sharon K. Arbeene of Miramar, Fla.; and granddaughter, Scarlet Simpson of Greensboro. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, Mar 22, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday, March 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Greensboro Cemetery.
