GREENSBORO - Richard E. "Rick" Lewis, 53, recently of Chester, S.C., formerly of Hatfield, Pa., Newark, and Key West, Fla., passed away Friday, July 22, 2011, after a brief illness. Born Jan. 31, 1958, in Lansdale, Pa., Rick was the son of Richard C. Lewis and the late Ann Coffin Lewis of Hatfield, Pa. He was a graduate of North Penn school district class of 1976, and Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, Pa., where he was active in many events and editor of the college newspaper. He continued with graduate studies at the University of Delaware, Newark. He established several businesses in northern Delaware and again in Key West, Fla. Until recently, he was director of Information Technology services at Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester, S.C. In addition to his father and many friends, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah M. Odom of Rock Hill, S.C., and Ruby O. Lewis of Tallahassee, Fla.; one son, Richard D. Lewis of Ventura, Calif.; one granddaughter, Jency E. Odom of Rock Hill, S.C.; one brother and two sisters. After visitation and services at the Barron Funeral Home in Chester, S.C., there will be a funeral service from the Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md., on Saturday, July 30 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service.
