Delfosse, 90 MILFORD - Raymond John Delfosse, died Sunday, August 19, 2012 at home. Mr. Delfosse was born in Laurelton, Long Island, N.Y., the son of the late Raymond and Reina (Trudel) Delfosse. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during W.W. II. After the war, he graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Chemistry. Raymond then went to work as a Chemist at the U.S. Naval Air Test Propulsion Center in W. Trenton, NJ. He was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church. Raymond loved to work in the outdoors around his home and especially enjoyed reading, fishing and boating. He was a good mechanic and was very handy in building things and fixing things, especially for his neighbors. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn (Solaas) Delfosse; a son, Matthew Jules Delfosse; a daughter, Renee' McCullough and her husband Bruce; a sister, Rita Marie Smith; and five grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Avenue, Milford. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, DE.
