Frederica - Ray N. Freeman passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Ray was born in Chestertown, MD the son of the late Raymond A. and Mildred (Wyatt) Freeman. He lived in Texas for 30 years before moving to Delaware in 1988. Ray was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force, serving 2 tours of duty in Vietnam, one tour with each branch of service. He worked as a salesman for several years. He was a life member of the Blue Hen Post # 6483, Milford: the C.K.R.T. Post #7, Harrington; and the Milford Moose Lodge. He was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed collecting coins. He loved his grandchildren deeply and was known to spoil them with candy. He is survived by his "Bride" of 25 years Fay Boone Freeman, seven children Lisa Cantwell and her husband Tim; and Lora Harding and her husband Greg, all from Milford; Robin Freeman and his fiance' Kelly; Kelly Freeman; Samantha Roper and her husband Randy; Anthony Freeman and his wife Michelle and Kevin Freeman and his wife Lisa, all of San Antonio, Texas; one brother Eddie Freeman and one sister Connie Taylor, both of Maryland; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon. Burial with Military Honors will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963
