Ray M. Anderson, 76

FREDERICA - Ray M. Anderson, of Frederica, formerly of Bainbridge, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Feb. 27, 2009, at the Milford Center. He was 76. Born Sept. 13, 1932, in Listowel, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late William and Jane Anderson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his son, Eugene Campagna. Mr. Anderson was a mason for many years but then later in his life he owned and operated Tall Pines Campground and Bar with his wife, Josephine, while also working full time as a tractor trailer truck driver which he enjoyed until he retired. He was a lifelong member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Anderson and his wife moved to Delaware four years ago to be close to their daughter and her family. Once in Delaware he became a fan of NASCAR and the Philadelphia Eagles and also served as Treasurer for the Mobile Home Association. Mr. Anderson was a loving and devoted husband, a great dad and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Josephine; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Alan Comstock of Dover; a daughter, Deborah Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Donann Anderson of New York; a daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Dean Lelchuk of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Linda Campagna of New York; grandchildren, Adrianne and Jacqueline Comstock, Brian and Kyle Anderson, Michael, David and Tyler Campagna, and Gary Lelchuk; a special great-granddaughter, Kaylee Comstock; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where the family will receive friends one hour before services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, 2 North IMC, 640 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901.
