DENTON, Md. - Ralph A. Dukes of Denton died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in the Caroline Nursing Home, Denton. He was 93.
Mr. Dukes was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Hynson, son of the late Albert G. Sr. and Mary Catherine Stafford Dukes.
He was a graduate of Greensboro High School.
He had farmed all his life, retiring in 1994.
Mr. Dukes had always been involved with the Wesleyan Camp, Denton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn C. Dukes, Jan. 26, 1993; a daughter, Dorothy L. Holland; two brothers, Albert G. Dukes Jr. and Carlton Dukes; and a sister, Dorothy V. Dukes.
He is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Carolyn A. and Wayne Spicher of Denton, Elaine D. and Harry Moreland of Preston, and Joan A. and Gabe Cesarini of Denton; a sister, Louise Singer of Denton; an additional son-in-law, Thomas W. Holland; a sister-in-law, Catherine P. Collison; and six granddaughters, Norma L. Hitchens, Donna L. Brinsfield, Karen S. Morley, Monica M. Cesarini, Kathy E. Cesarini and Julie L. Cesarini; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Moore Funeral Home P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Denton Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Denton Wesleyan Camp, 424 E. Wesley Circle, Denton, MD 21629.
