CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Rachel P. Ecker of Chestertown died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 91.
Mrs. Ecker, a lifetime resident of Kent County, was born July 15, 1915, daughter of the late W. Louis and Mary (Miller) Parsons.
She worked for Kent Manufacturing Co., working the day of the explosion, and retired from Baltimore Business Forms, Chestertown.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ecker was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Henry Ecker; three sisters Ethel Stokes, Annabelle States and Grace Wheat; and two brothers, William Parsons and Charles Parsons.
She is survived by a brother, Albert F. Parsons of Rock Hall; three nieces Alberta Lindauer of Worton, Patricia Davidson of Trape and Mary Reid of Largo, Fla.; and a nephew, Louis Wheat of Chestertown.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown.
