Phyllis 'Kitty' Tunnell, 65 FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Phyllis Ann "Kitty" Tunnell, of Federalsburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at the Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 65. She was born Oct. 30, 1944, in Milford, Del., the daughter of Bertha Mae Salvage Murphy of Delmar, Md., and the late William G. Murphy. She was a homemaker, and had been a former employee of Sisk Fulfillment. She enjoyed cooking and reading, and her joy was being with her family. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Marvin L. Tunnell, whom she married on Oct. 17, 1969; four daughters, Sylvia Finkbiner of Lincoln, Del., Connie Dukes of Laurel, Del., Heart Smith, and Marvetta Tunnell, both of Federalsburg; a grandson that she raised, Cory Aviles of Federalsburg; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandsons; a niece and nephew whom she raised, Gwen Butler, and Doug Tucker; two brothers, Ernest Murphy and Robert Murphy, both of Laurel; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Billy and Arthur Murphy; and two sisters, Grace Wisseman and Helen Marine. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Framptom Funeral Home with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery, in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Framptom Funeral Home, 216 N.
