Phyllis Joan 'Mama' Perry, 71

DOVER - Phyllis Joan "Mama" Perry, of Dover, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, in the presence of her mother, husband and five daughters. She was 71.

Mrs. Perry was born Sept. 17, 1935, in Newburg, Pa., daughter of Dorothy (Powell) Finkey and the late Craig Finkey.

She retired as department manager after 23 years with Boscov's.

Mrs. Perry attended the First Baptist Church, Dover.

Her happiest times were spent with family. She enjoyed Christmas, loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was a very giving and caring person. She always put the needs of others in front of her own. She never met a person she didn't like.

Mrs. Perry was a member of the Dover Elks Lodge 1903 Ladies.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, retired Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Jay K. Perry of Dover; her mother, Dorothy Powell-Finkey of Shippensburg, Pa.; five daughters and five sons-in-law, Carlene and Frank Giuttari of Felton, Deborah and William Fausey of Dover, Talletha and Curt Hampton of Preston, Md., DeWana and Dave Ljung of Sacramento, Calif., and Denise and David Balcerak of Dover; 12 grandchildren, Derrick Giuttari and his wife, Heidi, of Lincoln, Dwayne Giuttari of Delray Beach, Fla., Michael Easton and his wife, Shannon, of Dover, Robert Easton and his wife, Nichole, of Dover, Stephen Eggan and his wife, Brittanie, and Jeremy Eggan, all of Pittsburgh, Dina Ljung and Dustin Ljung, both of Sacramento, Lauren Balcerak and Erin Balcerak, both of Dover, Nathan Woodhall of Willow Grove and Ashley Hampton of Cambridge, Md.; and seven great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Leukemia Society, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 209, Wilmington, DE 19801.
