Peggy Lou Thompson, 55

MILFORD - Peggy Lou Thompson of Milford passed away Friday, June 8, 2007, in Christiana Care-Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 55.

Ms. Thompson was born in Milford, daughter of John L. and Virginia Penuel Thompson.

She was a unique and special person. She helped others and gave strength, showing that obstacles can be overcome with help.

Ms. Thompson enjoyed playing the bells, crafts, all animals and riding horses.

She is survived by her parents, John and Virginia Thompson of Milford; a sister, Bonnie Thompson of Milford; a brother, James Thompson and his wife, Shirley of Milford; nieces, Johnna Fry of Milford and Jamie Thompson of Santa Cruz, Calif.; a great-nephew, John Michael Joseph of Milford; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins and a host of people that loved and cared for her.

Celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Sardis U. M. Church, c/o Ileen Maloney, 3277 Milford Neck Road, Milford, DE 19963.
