DOVER - Paul S. Rice, Sr., age 77, of Dover and previously of Cranston, R.I., passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Kent General Hospital in Dover. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a disabled American veteran. Paul was a lifetime member of the Pawtuxet Athletic Club in Pawtuxet, R.I., a longtime member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks #1903, the Rhode Island Police Officers Emerald Society, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin S. and Alice (Markham) Rice of Cranston, R.I.; and his brother, Walter G. Rice of Cranston, R.I. Paul is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean F. (Williams) Rice; his daughter, Lori-Jean Rice of Cleveland, S.C.; his son and daughter in law, Paul S. and Monique (Carrier) Rice of Warwick, R.I.; and daughter and son in law, Doreen E. (Rice) and Ronald Lebeau of Wyoming, Del. Paul was a grandfather of five grandsons, Shaun and Colin Anderson of South Carolina, Zachary Lebeau of Wyoming, Del., Patrick S. Rice of Warwick, R.I., and Ryan Hollingsworth of South Carolina. Paul had one granddaughter, Alexandra Lebeau of Wyoming, Del. A memorial service will be 4 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934.
