DOVER - Paul E. Quail, of Dover, departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.
He was the son of the late Herbert and Ruth Quail of Felton.
Paul was educated in Viola and William Henry High School, Dover.
He worked as a truck driver for Wyoming Block Co. for over 45 years, retiring Nov. 19, 2007.
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was introduced to gardening by his father-in-law, the late Elder Fred Bordley.
He enjoyed life and he enjoyed people. He loved domino games at family gatherings.
People enjoyed Paul, how he joked and played with them from the first meeting. You never wanted for anything if he was around.
He had a special love for children.
Paul was married to Anna E. Bordley on Dec. 31, 1979. He always said "I married you because you had three good children, and I knew they would become my children."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Anna; one son, Steven Bordley and his wife Beverly of Dover; two daughters, Dawn Bordley of New Castle and Joyce Bordley of Newark; a cherished mother-in-law, Gertrude Bordley of Dover; three sisters, Dorothy Morris and her husband William, Arnetta Brooks and her husband James of Camden, and Margaret Quail of Felton; three brothers, Theodore Quail and his wife Lillian, Harold Quail of Felton, and James Quail and his wife Gloria of Dover; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; two grandchildren, Kennard and Takeisha Smith; three godchildren; three aunts; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Services will be noon Wednesday at the M.F. Chase Unity Memorial Church, Peach Tree Run and 16 Vanessa Drive, Star Hill, where friends may call two hours prior.
