CUMBERLAND, Md. - Patrick Clayton Wheedleton, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Cumberland. He was 40.
He was born on April 4, 1968, in Putuxant, son of Elijah Leroy Wheedleton and Nancy L. Owens Wheedleton of Galestown.
Patrick graduated from North Dorchester High School, class of 1986.
He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Patrick was employed as a leather tanner.
He served on the board of directors for HRDC of Alleghany County.
Patrick was a volunteer at the Archway Station Wellness recovery program, where he volunteered with crafts. He also enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Wheedleton; two sisters, Hazel Louise Harding and her husband Jeff of Vienna, and Brenda Lee Marvil and her husband Ronnie of Sharptown; four nephews, Joshua, Brandon, Ryan, and Danny; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, with the Rev. George Hufnagel officiating
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon-1 p.m. Friday.
Instead of flowers, memorial offerings may be made in his memory to the Archway Center, 121 Memorial Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502.
