HARTLY - Patricia Ward passed away on September 17, 2014. Mrs. Ward had been employed for Delaware Eye Care for 13 years. Previously, she had worked for National Liberty Insurance Company in Malvern, Pa. for many years. Mrs. Ward was a Columbiette of Holy Cross with Knights of Columbus Council #4182. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Mitcheltree; her parents, Marianne and Robert Mitcheltree and her infant son, John. Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband of 55 years, James F. Ward; three sons, James Ward and his wife Barbara of Baltimore, Md., Robert Ward and his wife Teresa of Abingdon, Md., and Daniel Ward and his wife Susan of Honey Brook, Pa.; one brother, Bruce Mitcheltree of New Rochelle, N.Y.; her twin sister, Anne Meara of Cape Cod, Mass.; six grandchildren, James, Kristen, Michael, Joseph, Rachel and Joshua; two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Alyssa; and her beloved dog, Bonnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Noon Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 522 Main Street, Marydel, Md. 21649. There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening, September 22, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Del. 19934. Burial will be later at All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at the address above.
