OCEAN VIEW - Patricia Ann "Patty" Smith, of Ocean View, formerly of the Washington metro area, died of cancer on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in the Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 54.
Patty's friendly smile and loving spirit will be remembered and dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean M. Smith; and brother, John J. Smith.
Patty is survived by her father, Jacob P. Smith; sisters, Sheila Peaper, Jean Marie Smith, Rita Smith, Tina Marcy and Rose Huff; brothers, Michael P., J. Timothy, Jeffrey W., Charles A., and Jacob W.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Patty's life will be from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Holiday Inn, Bethany Beach.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741; or Whitman-Walker Clinic, 1407 S. Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20009.
