SMYRNA - Patricia A. "Pat" Smith, 72, of Smyrna, passed away July 16, 2011. She is survived by her husband, William C. "Bill" Smith; mother, Maryetta Carey; her children, John and Charles Ford, Vicki Jones, Brenda Thornley, Jerry Smith and Sarah McBride; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, Charles Richard Carey, Sr., Elaine Tomaszewski and Gene Carey, as well as her special dog and birds, whom she loved dearly. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 21, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where friends may visit with her family Wednesday, July 20 from 7 to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. www.daniels-hutchison.com 302-378-3410
