Pastor Lucner Hector, 54
LAUREL - Lucner Hector, of Laurel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2008, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 54.
Mr. Hector was born on Jan. 7, 1954, in Haiti, to Angela Bisrett and the late Lafontant Hector.
He earned his GED at Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown, and also studied Spanish for three years in Miami.
Mr. Hector went on to pastor Golgotha Haitian Alliance and Missionary Church, Laurel, which he founded in 1991. He continued his mission until 2008.
Mr. Hector will be remembered most of all as a devoted husband and father who took pleasure in spending time with his beloved family and his church members, such as the Gustin family, the Alexis family and Fanius.
He is survived by his loving wife, Manese Hector of Laurel; his daughter, Mirlande Frazier and her husband Joel Frazier, both of Dover; his son, Henry Lucner Hector of Laurel; his son, Ivan Jed Hector and girlfriend Brittaney Hitchens, both of Dover; his son, Edwin Samuel Hector of Dover; his grandchildren, Christian Michael Frazier, Zyvan Kalea Hector, and Briana Manecia Hector, also of Dover; his mother, Angela Bisrett; his mother-in-law, Andrelie Pierre; his sisters and brothers, Raymonde H. Odaris, Sereste Hector, Celina Hector-Bruna, Christiane Hector-Metelus, Sandra Cayemitte, Evelyne Joseph, Micheline Cayemitte, Florvil Hector, Bernard Hector, Ernst Cayemitte, Fritz Cayemitte, and Eddy Cayemitte; and extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today in the Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 437 N. Front St., Seaford.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church, 22625 Atlanta Road, Seaford.
