Norris E. 'Babe' Hammond, 75 HARRINGTON - Norris E. "Babe" Hammond, of Harrington, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, at his daughter Nettie's home surrounded by his loving family. He was 75. He was born in Mastens Corner to the late William and Nettie Mae Hammond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie M. Hammond; daughter, Linda Satterfield; and brother, Smith Hammond. He is survived by his daughters, Nettie Mae Jones of Greenwood, and Katherine Hammond of Centerville, Md.; brother, Billie Hammond of Mastens Corner; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 4, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Interment was in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
