Norman Tophan Hopkins

MILLINGTON, Md. - Norman Tophan Hopkins, III "Toppy" 51 of Millington, Md., died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Christiana Hospital. Toppy was born in Chestertown, Md., on February 7, 1962, the beloved son of Fay Kaufman of Kennedyville and the late Norman Hopkins, Jr. and stepson of the late William Richard Kaufman, Jr. He was a deeply loved son, brother and father. He loved hunting and fishing and worked for the Kaufman Backhoe family business for years. Along with his mother he is survived by his children, Faylyn and Elizabeth; step children, Heather and David; his sisters, Dawn Smith and husband/best friend, Paul of Millington, Karen Hopkins Riale and husband Robert of North East and Gail Ervin and husband Norman of Millington; step sister, Darlene Tuohey and husband Dennis of Tenn.; and nieces and nephews. A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L.
