Norman Oliver Taylor

Norman Oliver Taylor, 83

SEAFORD - Norman Oliver Taylor of Seaford died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at his residence. He was 83.

He was born in Blades, son of the late Hattie Bailey and George H. Taylor.

Mr. Taylor worked in the shipping department of Gant Shirt Co., Salisbury, Md., before retiring.

He was a member of the Rock Church, Laurel, and he was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Virginia (Reeves) Taylor, in 2003; and a son, Forrest Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by three sons and their wives, Keith D. and Pat Taylor of Laurel, Donald G. and Lori Taylor of Seaford and Drew A. and Laura Taylor of Blades; two sisters, Iva Everton and Leona Langley, both of Seaford; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, where friends may call one hour prior.

The Rev. Leslie Clark will officiate.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.

Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
