HARRINGTON - Norman D. Sennett died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was the son of the late Casper H. and Emma (Clendaniel) Sennett. Norman was a certified welder. He worked at several businesses throughout Milford before starting his own welding company. He was a life member of the Harrington Fire Company, Sta. 50 and a member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company, Sta. 75. He was a member of the Milford Elks Lodge # 2401, the American Legion CKRT Post #7 of Harrington and the Harrington Moose Lodge #534. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Boone Sennett in 2009; and a sister, Margaret Night.
He is survived by his step-son, Alfred Boone; three sisters, Elsie McFadden, Barbara Jones and Patsy Sennett; three brothers, George Sennett, Sr., Earl Sennett and Wayne Sennett; as well as his firefighter family.
Funeral services with full firefighter honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Harrington Fire Company Memorial Hall, 20 Clark Street, Harrington where friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Harrington Fire Company, 20 Clark Street, Harrington, Delaware 19952.
