Myrtle J. Collins

MILLSBORO - Myrtle J. Collins, of Millsboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was 86. Mrs. Collins was born in Willards, Md., on Jan. 26, 1925, to the late Elmer W. and Eva B. Baker Jackson. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph Collins in 2001; and a brother, Elmer E. Jackson. Mrs. Collins owned and operated a poultry farm for many decades. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a quiet reserved woman who was dedicated to her family. She is survived by two sons, Bryce Collins and his wife Beth of Millsboro, and Kevin Collins and his wife Karen of Schwenksville, Pa.; four grandchildren, Mindy Anthony and her husband Sean, Katie Tidwell and her husband Shawn, Rebecca Collins, and Tyler Collins; five great-grandchildren, Justin, Caleb, and Will Anthony, Lane and Harley Tidwell. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Graveside Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2011, at the Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor Bob Hudson will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Head/ American Stroke 200 Continental Drive, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
