Muriel Maisel Schatz passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Delaware Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
She was born and raised in Catonsville, MD to Herman and Veronica Maisel. Muriel was the bookkeeper and secretary for the plastering and stucco business she ran with her late husband of 69 years, Fred Schatz. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she dedicated her life to caring for her family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Hertsch; and brother, Herman Maisel.
She is survived by her son, Craig Schatz and spouse Mary; son, Fred Schatz, Jr. and spouse Sandra; grandchildren, Wendy Ryan and spouse Brendan, Chris Weimer, Ruth Alessi and spouse Anthony, Fred Schatz, III and spouse Shasta, Amanda Kilmer and spouse Jon, and Melissa Schatz; and great grandchildren, Anthony and Rosalie Alessi, Elsa and Eamon Schatz, and Evan and Nolan Kilmer.
By her wishes, Muriel will be cremated, and the services will be private.
