DOVER - Mildred "Mickey" Y. Brown of Dover died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 83.

Mrs. Brown was born July 11, 1923, in Dover, daughter of the late Elmer C. and Marion Yocum Lutton.

She graduated from Yeadon (Pa.) High School and Levitan Business College. She also attended Pacific University in Oregon, majoring in accounting and business management/administration.

Mrs. Brown worked as a consultant/troubleshooter in business management/administration, specializing in automotive-business management. She worked in various states within the United States on contracts.

In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing and mountain biking, and was an avid bowler. She enjoyed reading and traveling in the United States, and had visited 49 out of 50 states - all except Hawaii.

Mrs. Brown was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Dover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley M. Brown, in March 1994 after 52 wonderful years of love with her best friend: he was truly the wind beneath her wings; a brother, Elmer Lutton; and a niece, June Gordon.

She is survived by a sister and a brother-in-law, Marian C. "Tony" and Jacques Gordon of Springfield, Pa.; a brother and a sister-in-law, Henry Y. and Annabelle "Betty" Lutton of Marydel; five nephews, Jay Gordon, Jacques Gordon, Michael Gordon, Gary Lutton and Thomas Lutton; five nieces, Erika Lutton, Carolyn Lutton, Janet Lutton, Nancy Lutton and Joan Lutton; and an additional sister-in-law, Ruth Lutton of Athens, Ga.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Torbert Funeral Chapel, 145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, Pa.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. Du Pont Highway, Dover, DE 19901; Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901; or Westminster Village EAF, 1175 McKee Road, Dover, DE 19904.
