Mildred T. Calloway

MILFORD - Mildred T. Calloway went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at the Milford Center, Genesis Eldercare. Mildred was born in Denton, Md. the daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel (Wyatt) Trice. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with the family. She worked as a lab technician at the DuPont Nylon Plant in Seaford for 17 years then at Milford Memorial Hospital for another 4 years before retiring. While at the DuPont Plant, she helped her late husband Ray on the family farm. Mildred was a member of the Milford Church of God. She loved to play bingo, was an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and doing crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray O. Calloway in 1977; a son, Ray Calloway; two brothers, Herman and Donald; and three sisters, Florence, Helen and Mary. She is survived by her daughter, Marian Green and her husband John; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Calloway; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening, Dec. 10, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, at the funeral home . Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro.
