Michele Renee Gooch of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 25, 2021, surrounded by her family after a courageous fight with cancer.
Affectionately called "Shelly" by her family, Michele was born March 13, 1970, in Lewes, Delaware, and was the beloved daughter of Michael and Denise Gooch.
She grew up in Milford, Delaware. After high school, she attended Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Michele had a 28 year career as a computer programmer.
Michele is survived by her parents, Michael and Denise of Milford, Del.; sister, Erica of Philadelphia, Pa.; nephews, Roman and Micah; grandmother, Dorothy Harmon of Ellendale, Del.; and a host of loving extended family and friends.
Celebration of life service will be held 12 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at Evan W. Smith Funeral Services, 518 S. Bay Rd., Dover, DE 19901. A public viewing will be held 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with formal home going celebration to follow. Interment in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, Del.
