Michael Arthur Chick, 43

GEORGETOWN - Michael Arthur Chick of Georgetown died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 43.

Mr. Chick was born in Stuttgart, Germany, lived most of his life in New York, and moved from Rocky Point, N.Y., to Georgetown in 1997.

He attended grade school in Shoreham, N.Y., and high school in Longwood, N.Y.

Mr. Chick was employed as a machinist with Joker Industries Inc., until moving to Georgetown, where he worked on the family farm.

He enjoyed motor cross bicycle racing and any type of mechanical work.

Mr. Chick attended Asbury United Methodist Church, Georgetown.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur Robert and Katherine E. (Highland) Chick, with whom he lived in Georgetown; two sisters, Heidi Chick of Bridgeville and Susie Hickman of Georgetown; an aunt, Lillian Donovan of Florida; several cousins; and his cat, Mittens.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Asbury Methodist Cemetery, Georgetown.

Flowers are accepted, or the family suggests memorial contributions to help defray funeral costs.
