GEORGETOWN - Meta Elizabeth Pepper, of Georgetown, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011, in Lincoln. She was 96. Meta was born in Ellendale, the daughter of the late Dorsey G. and Estella Mae (Palmer) Morgan. She was a self-employed school bus driver retiring in 1984. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 2931 and enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Pepper; sisters, Mary Hester and Pauline Weist; and brothers, Dorsey Morgan and Carl Morgan Sr. She is survived by her son, Richard L. Pepper and his wife Bessie of Georgetown; sister, Naomi Betts of Milton; sister-in-law, Maude Hastings of Georgetown; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday June 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
