Metani, 51 DOVER - Mentor "Tony" Metani, age 51, of Dover, De, died Sept. 25, 2016. Born in Albania he was the son of the late Avdulla Metani and Hajirie Matani. He had moved from Tirana, Albania to the United States in 1993. Tony had worked in the Restaurant and Pizza Business and at the time of his death he was associated with Frederica Pizza & Pasta House in Frederica, DE. Tony enjoyed the relationship he had with his co-workers and viewed them all as his extended family. In his quieter moments he enjoyed politics, sports, and he was a big fan of European soccer. He was a hard worker and had a very positive view about life. Tony was very loving and was a good father to his kids. He made sure that they were loved and cared for and he will be dearly missed by them. Tony will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Flanova Ruci Metani, of Dover, DE, and his three children, Antony, Julia, and Enzo, all of Dover. Also survived by his mother, Hajirie Metani of Tirana, Albania, and his two sisters, Shpresa Metani, of Albania, and Ariana Metani, of Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services at 12 noon on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery located at 6486 Bay Rd. (Route 1) in Frederica, DE.
