LINCOLN, Del. - Melvyn Gary Miller passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Milford BayHealth Hospital Sussex Campus in Milford, Del.
He was born on February 23, 1944 in Phoenixville, Pa., the son of the late Roy Miller and Laura Swartz Miller.
Melvyn was a truck driver by trade but also worked with his brothers at Miller Brothers Masonry. In his free time, he enjoyed any type of racing, including go cart, NASCAR, stock car, and drag strip. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He attended Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown.
He is survived by four children, Melvyn Miller of Lincoln, Stephanie Justice and her husband Raymond of Milford, Theresa Miller and her husband Randy of Bridgeville, and Tammy Foy of Milton; nine grandchildren, Melvyn Miller 2nd, Corey Miller, Michael Baker, Carissa Justice, Autumn Justice, Leslie Robinson, Laura Foy, KJ Foy and Cree Hicks; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Grayson, Shayla, Colton and Ruby; four siblings, Duane Miller and his wife Fern of Milford, Lester Miller and his wife Mary of Ellendale, Dean Miller and his wife Annette of Milford, and Cheryl Briscoe of Great falls, Mont.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cierra Foy; a sister, Charlotte Martin; and a brother, Raymond Miller.
Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Mennonite Church in Greenwood. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home - Fleischauer Chapel in Greenwood and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
