Maureen Miller, 75
Maureen Miller of Dover passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Westminster.
She was born September 9, 1946, in Camden, New Jersey to the late Michael Sullivan and Hannah Dineen.
Mrs. Miller grew up in Media, Pennsylvania. She attended Notre Dame High, Class of '64. Maureen worked in the Department of Defense for the United States Army for 27 years, retiring as a member of the Army Senior Executive Service. In 2016, she moved to Dover and began attendance at Wesley UMC, where she continued to be an active member. She loved giving back, often volunteering her time for many different causes. She loved to travel and explore with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph, Michael, and Ann Sullivan.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard Allen Miller, of Dover. She will be missed by many friends and extended family.
Services will be held at a later date in the Fort Meyers Chapel in Arlington; 101 McNair Rd., Fort Myer, VA 22211. With burial to follow in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Salvation Army of Delaware, 701 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123 or Food Bank of Delaware Attn: Rachel Bickey Development Department, 222 Lake Drive, Newark, DE 19702 in Maureen's honor.
