GEORGETOWN - Mattie Rebecca Upshur, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Born on Jan. 6, 1928, she was 81. A viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the St. Johns Second Baptist Church, Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at the St. Johns Second Baptist Church, Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, where friends may also call two hours prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book may be signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
