Matthew David Parker, 28
SEAFORD - Matthew David Parker passed away on August 15, 2021 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Born in Seaford, he is the son of Bobby Parker Jr., and Pamela Rementer Parker of Seaford. Matt was a graduate of Seaford High Schools "Class of 2011", were he enjoyed playing football. After high school, Matt attended Delaware Technical and Community College. Before his illness, he worked for Gillespie Concrete Company in Greenwood. He was an Eagles football fan, loved John Deere Tractors, dancing and had a wonderful personality. Matt was a member of the First State Tractor Club, 4H, and Future Farmer's of America. His fiance' Heather will always remember the special saying that was so meaningful to them, Matt would say "Forever and Always" because their love was so strong that it was meant for their love to be forever and always.
In addition to his parents; Matt his survived by his fiance' and the love of his life for over 10 years, Heather Walls of Seaford; maternal grandparents, David and Ruth Rementer of Georgetown; paternal grandmother, M. Louise Parker of Greenwood; aunts, Dawn Elliott and her husband John, and Marjorie Carroll; uncle, David Rementer, Jr. and his wife Leslie; cousins, Angela Carroll, Abbey Carroll, Meghan Elliott, Kelsey Rementer, McKenzie Rementer; mother and father in law, Rhonda Walls and Gary Walls Jr. of Seaford; brothers in law, Gary Walls III and Lee Walls; nieces and nephews, Hailey Walls, Kylee Walls, Lizzie Walls, Kayla Walls, and Jordan Wingo.
Matt was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bobby R. Parker, Sr.
A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 2701 Woodland Ferry Road, Seaford, DE 19973. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. Pastor Missy Rekitzke will officiate. Interment will follow in Blades Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Matthew Parker's memory to the American Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 299, Wet Orange, NJ 07052.
