MILFORD, Del. - Maryann Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. Maryann was born in Wilmington, Del. the daughter of the late Arthur J. Bradley, Sr. and Mildred Elizabeth (Marker) Bradley.
She began her career working as an assembler for Clifton Precision Company, retiring after 12 years to go back to school to become a C.N.A. As a C.N.A., Maryann worked for Addus Healthcare until retiring in 2001. She was a 50-year member of the Milford Church of the Nazarene, was an active member since 2011 of the Carlisle Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoyed working in the kitchen for affairs as well as serving on the calling committee. In 2017 Maryann was awarded the Carlisle Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary Member of the Year award for all of her work and dedication to the company. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Elks Milford Lodge #2401 and the Milford Senior Center. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping by the beach especially at Treasure Beach in Fenwick Island. She also enjoyed collecting lighthouses. Most important to Maryann was her family, for her world revolved around her Grandkids whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Fitzgerald; a daughter, Carol Fitzgerald; a grandson, Kyle Robinson; a brother, Charles Bradley; two sisters, Alice Bradley Marrow and Beatrice Blackmon; and a sister-in-law, Van Bradley.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Jones; five grandchildren, Shelby Eisenbrey (Thomas), Brent Jones, Dawn Rae Fitzgerald Ratledge (Ryan), Autum Bilgin, and Melissa Finkbinder; nine great grandchildren; her "son-in-law", Andy Jones; her beloved and faithful dog, "Rocky"; another daughter, Patricia Rickards; stepchildren, Raymond Dalton, Marilyn Dalton, Sean Dalton, Cathy Pharis and Lillie Fitzgerald; five brothers and sisters, Margaret Millman, Arthur "Sonny" Bradley, Jr. (Jean), David Bradley, Sr., Phillip Bradley (Fran), and Edwin "Eddie" Bradley (Lois); sisters-in-law, Barbara Hammond, Jeannie Fitzgerald and Karen Fitzgerald; several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Milford Church of the Nazarene, 11 Salevan Place, Milford where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Milford Church of the Nazarene, 11 Salevan Place, Milford, DE 19963.
